No one should have to pay to solve a pressing problem created by others. Especially if paying for a legal or psychological solution that actually solves little. Consider these examples.

  • A counseling client pays for therapy out of pocket to get help coping with her frequently irate and coercive boss. She learns self-help techniques to not personalize her boss's tirades.

  • A tenant hires a lawyer to compel their landlord to fix a leaky roof in time before the next rainstorm. After the tardy repairs, they receive notice that their rent will soon increase.

  • A wrongly convicted innocent burns up his retirement fund to hire an attorney to help him appeal his case in federal court. The court denies review on technical grounds.

Now consider these more effective alternatives, free to the suffers.

  • The worker addresses their problematic boss with our mutually supportive "Professionally Responsive" interactive messaging tool. She incentivizes her boss to invest in her productivity by being more supportive of her overlooked needs. Win-win.

  • The tenant challenges a gap in the law using our "Powerfully Responsive" messaging tool. They inspire lawmakers to relate better to the actual impact of their authority. They learn how to improve laws to serve needs. Win-win.

  • The innocence claimant flips the script on adversarial justice by using our "Responsive Innocence" tool. He identifies the needs of the those who falsely accused him. He directly addresses the needs for which laws exist to serve, and invites the courts to do the same. Now adversarialism itself faces accusation. But is offered understanding and compassion, to model to judicial officials how to they can improve their legitimacy. Win-win.

Nothing is literally free, of course. These tools cost someone to make them. Namely me, Steph Turner, the founder of anankelogy and of need-response. And these merely touch on a few.

Direct services, like online support for how to best use the tools, also comes with a price. Eventually, powerholders who benefit from this more amicable alternative are to carry more of the costs.

You can help grow this pioneering approach for improving wellness. With your gift, we can continue developing this process of mutually addressing each other's affected needs.

Thank you for helping me to ultimately help you.

Our current needs

Everything must start start somewhere. And sometimes start over. Repeatedly, if necessary. But it may not get far without your help.

Viability

If this works

Before committing myself to establishing a nonprofit organization, I am market testing this alternative service.

Pitch It

Not another nonprofit

Once it gains traction, I aim to partner with a more established nonprofit. And perhaps invite them to take it over.

Catch-22

Stuck in limbo

While I have a MPA with an emphasis in nonprofit management, I cannot escape the many paradoxes holding me back.

Your Support

Back to viability

Your donation will help demonstrate the viability of the vision. Then I can pitch it to others who can make it more of a reality.

What people say

Tyler Simmons, renter

Hit a wall dealing with my landlord until I tried this alternative. Much better responses when I showed how  I cared as much about their needs as my own.

Professional Male

Don Walker, business owner

We created a much better outcome than settling a lawsuit. If I ever get sued again, I will have to reefer the complainant to this more amicable alternative.

Simone, activist

This proved to be a much more effective way to get lawyers to address our legal needs. I strongly recommend this need-response to anyone.
