The Anankelogy Foundation mission is to introduce and establish the new social science of anankelogy, the disciplined study of need, and its application in the new professional field of need-response.

Anankelogy in three dimensions

Ananke is the classical Greek word for need. Adding 'logos' for the study of, anankelogy is simply the study of need. Current social studies exist to serve our needs, so now we focus on understanding the needs themselves.

Anankelogy exists for you on three levels: 

  1. academic anankelogy as a research social science,

  2. applied anankelogy as an applied science to our many needs, and

  3. accessible anankelogy as an easier to understand version.

Need-Response

Applied anankelogy creates the new professional field of need-response. It directly responds to needs to support each other's wellness.

Need-response improves wellness with two approaches: 1) individually with a wellness initiative, and with 2) a crowdsourced wellness campaign.
